SPECIAL ATTENTION TO SUMMER HOME RESIDENTS!
Our first candidate is a work in progress with hand-lettered numerals and only on one side of the mailbox--we hope it gets finished soon with thick black numbers on both sides.
Numerals on the posts are not great: these ones don't stand out very much, they'll be hidden by snowbanks and sometimes by high grass, plus when it's raining, the shiny letters are almost invisible on the shiny post, and they're only on one side of the post.
Very Nice! The numerals are in more than one place, although the ones on top are a little small. The bottom sign is excellent--dark numbers on a light background that really stands out in the dark.
Below: Good contrast with dark numbers on white background, and they are reflective, too--that's the best! Missing one number, though.
AWESOME!! A big yellow mailbox with big pieces of reflective tape, black numerals on the light background!! But, the address is on only one side of the mailbox--it really needs to be on both sides.

Left: Nice contrast with dark numbers on reflective backgrounds on the white post, but the numbers will be hidden the second or third time the snowplow comes through, and the address is on just one side of the post.
Below: Here's a perfect set-up--reflective white numbers on a black background, but that's not all! They also have the HIGHLY recommended double-sided white-on-green reflective sign mounted on a separate pole high off the ground and very visible from the roadway. We love these guys.
Nothin'. Nada. Zip. Zilch. How do they get their mail even? Maybe they have numbers on their houses, but it takes way, way longer to find those and in a driving snowstorm? It's almost impossible. Emergency responders' only way to find these addresses are by looking for EACH neighbors' mailboxes and figuring that if one address is lower than the one we're frantically looking for and the other is higher, then the one in the middle must be the right one, right?
NOT ALWAYS! And what if your neighbor's mailboxes aren't marked either? Honestly speaking, in the extra four or five minutes it takes to find the right house, a fire may spread to the attic and have grown out of control, a stroke patient could end up in a wheelchair for life instead of walking, a heart under attack may be just too damaged for anyone to save.

YOU OWE IT TO YOUR FAMILY
TO MAKE SURE YOUR HOME'S ADDRESS IS CLEARLY MARKED AND EASY TO FIND IN CASE OF
AN EMERGENCY!
