The Thousand Islands EMS Training Academy--a part of TIERS--is has established a training affiliation with the Emergency Care and Safety Institute. Located in Sudbury, Massachusetts, ECSI is a national training center accredited by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Thousand Islands EMS Training Academy is now a certified training site for ECSI and will be able to offer courses for the community such as CPR, use of the Automated External Defibrilator (AED), Basic and Advanced First Aid, as well as specialty medical classes for rescue personnel, advanced medical field providers and hospital personnel.

Thousand Islands EMS Training Academy is also a regional training site for the National Safety Council.
