TIERS Accessibility and Accommodation Plan

Should a person need access to the Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Service (TIERS) office and facilities at 100 Union St. Clayton NY, 13624, but requires assistance because of a handicap or other inherent mobility problem, the individual, or a requesting party, must contact the TIERS office during normal business hours to arrange assistance with accessibility from our office staff or employees*. The individual or requesting party must call our office at (315) 686-2058 and give a time of arrival and what reasonable accommodations the person may need to gain access to our offices. Wheelchair access will require entrance into our building via a garage door and being assisted to our offices via escort by and assistance of a TIERS employee*. Other accommodations will be addressed on a case-by-case basis. Our business office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. Our phone number is (315) 686-2058.

*NOTE: There are times when all TIERS staff must leave the building due to emergency situations beyond our control. This may result in no one being available at the appointment time, and/or may result in the individual being asked to leave the building temporarily if our staff has to leave and the individual cannot exit the building without help from TIERS employees. For this reason, individuals needing accommodation are asked to bring someone with them for personal assistance if possible.
