Thousand Islands Rescue

TEAM 43, TIERS' Junior Membership Program, is getting ready to go!  We're looking for students who are interested in learning about emergency medical services, and who want the chance to provide crucial services during emergencies.

As a
TEAM 43 member, you'll learn patient assessment and treatment skills, assist with visits to senior citizens housing, help staff our TIERS EMS Bike Team and--after clearance--ride along with TIERS crews on emergency calls.

TIERS

Needs You

TIERS Junior Member Program is designed for you if you're between 15 and 18 years of age and may be interested in a health-related career or for those young adults who are looking for satisfying volunteer community service.

Many of our junior membership program members have already gone on to be Emergency Vehicle Operators, Emergency Medical Technicians or are enrolled in the Jefferson Community College Paramedic Program.

TEAM 43 members can work side by side with Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and other ambulance crew members after they go through several divisions of training to be an effective member of the team.

Some members will become TEAM 43 Team Leaders. Team Leaders will receive more specialized training in leadership, team management, First Responder training, and share a vital role in Medic Camp, our school activities program.

Generally our junior membership team raises funds for special events like trips to amusement parks, camping expeditions, or other fun field trips. Fundraising can be a major undertaking for a group and a great learning experience.
