Most people have never been in an ambulance, and we hope that you never will be either--at least not as a patient. (We are always looking for good volunteers; click here for details and an application). While different ambulances and their gear may look different from each other cosmetically, every ambulance in New York State has to carry the same equipment under the rules set by the NYS Department of Health.
