SUBSCRIPTION MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM |
Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Services' SafeGuardTM is a subscription membership program designed to help permanent and seasonal residents of the towns of Clayton and Orleans protect themselves from the difference between the cost of an average emergency medical transport ($600-800) and what their medical insurance will cover. For an elderly person with Medicare coverage, that could mean having to write a check for $120 or more per emergency ambulance call.
SafeGuardTM protects you from this out-of-pocket cost, for an entire year,.
Only Town of Orleans and Town of Clayton residents and non-residents who work, travel, or reside in Clayton or Orleans are eligible to join.
Out of Pocket Protection Plan:
In the event you or a covered member of your family require transport to the hospital by TIERS, we will bill your insurance for the services rendered.
Often insurance companies and other health plans will not pay the full amount billed for ambulance service.
3. As a SafeGuardTM member, you will not be billed for the balance, period.
NOTE: A person is in the household* but not a dependent can be added to your Out of Pocket Protection Plan for an additional $10.00 PER PERSON.
*Person must have the same legal address
